Our History

Reach Me, Inc. was created out of a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves to feel connected, valued, and included in their community.

Our founder has spent more than 20 years supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Over time, she saw a common challenge. She found that many adults, even those who are independent or employed, were still missing something essential: a sense of belonging.

Why Reach Me exists

Reach Me exists to address the many barriers faced by individuals with I/DD and their families. These include transportation barriers, limited resources and a lack of inclusive experiences which often made it difficult for people to enjoy life beyond their homes.

We create welcoming, community-based experiences where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can build relationships, explore new activities, and feel part of something bigger. Our programs are designed with dignity, respect, and joy at the center.

For Participants

Adults who take part in Reach Me programs have more chances to get out into the community, meet people, and build friendships. Over time, participants gain confidence, develop routines, and feel more connected to the world around them. These experiences help create a sense of belonging that grows with each shared experience.

Families and caregivers experience peace of mind knowing their loved one has a safe, welcoming place to connect with others. Reach Me helps reduce isolation by providing meaningful opportunities for social engagement, giving families reassurance that their loved one is supported and included. This support helps families feel more confident in the care and opportunities available to those they love.
